"GO STRAIGHT TO THE KING"

In today's world, we often hear from people who are called "Influencers." Their entire existence is centered around being "Famous for being famous."

And millions of people... follow them... hang on to their every word... and imitate their every move. But the problem is; most of them are only telling us, what they have heard other people say.
When I was growing up, my elders had an old saying... "Get it from the horse's mouth." For believers, we have a source we can trust in...

The Bible, it's source is... God Himself...

And His representative is His Son, Jesus the Christ. One of Jesus' primary ways of communicating with people was through the use of parables.

In Mt. 13:44-46, Jesus tells two parables, starting with the parable of the... "Hidden Treasure and The Pearl" 44 "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field." It's been said, "Freedom in one area, means you are a slave to another."

This means, we who are in Christ, must value our eternal salvation over the fleeting enjoyments of the world.
A wise person knows the best place to bury that freedom in the heart so the enemy cannot steal it away.
You don't want men to take away...
your joy...
your peace...
or your connection to Christ.

Next, Jesus speaks on the… Parable of the Pearl.

This parable has even greater meaning to the believer...

Look at vs. 45... “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. 46 When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it."

Once again, we have an inside look at how much God values those who are in Christ. In the parable, this man found something he knew and believed to be worth
more than anything he had or could ever own.

So, what does he do? He sales all that he had to because the Pearl was more valuable.

When we look at this in monetary terms it means…
We'd sell our house...
Our business...
And everything we own.

Why? Because nothing else mattered more.

Can I help you?

This parable also symbolizes the great value God place on believers in Christ. Because we meant so much to Him, the bible says, "He gave His only begotten Son..."
God gave His only Son to save us!

He gave His only Son to redeem us!
That means…
When the world hates you: God love you.
When you hate yourself: God loves you.
When you can see no reason to go on,
remember...
You are a valuable pearl to God.
You are the one God prizes most in the world.
You are the one God traded everything He had…

Everything He owned… Just to call you His own.

The next time you're faced with making an important decision...

Cut out the middle-man "Influencers " and go straight to "The King!"

Amen?

"MOTHER-HOOD AIN'T EASY"

American writer, James Dobson tells about a time he came home to his wife Shirley and his son, Ryan, who was a small baby. It had been a terrible day for his wife. Ryan had been sick, and had cried all day long.

As Shirley was changing his diaper, the telephone rang and she reached over to answer it before fastening up his diaper. Just then Ryan had an attack of diarrhea. She cleaned up the mess and put him in clean, sweet smelling clothes.

Then she took him into the living room and fed him. As she was burping him, he threw up all over himself, and her, and the couch too. Dobson writes, 'Despite everything that happened that day, all I smelled when I came home was the aroma of motherhood, everywhere.'

After Shirley told him what happened that day, Dobson realized, just how hard and frustrating Motherhood could be." And sometimes in the frustration of trying to teach our children, we realize the difficulties of
communication.

"Once, a Mother remembers very clearly, the first time she gave her two year-old son, Steve, his first responsibility. She told Steve to watch Susan, his baby sister, while she stepped out of the room.

She had only been gone a few moments when she heard a thump, and then Susan started crying. She rushed back in to find that Susan had fallen from the couch and was stretched out on the floor.

Meanwhile, Steve sat there, looking so innocent. The Mother said, 'Steve, I told you to watch her.' Steve answered, 'I did.' He watched her fall and he watched
her cry. He did exactly what he was told to do."
Sometimes a Mother's heart is filled with joy and sometimes, with sadness. Sometimes her children make
her so proud she wants to stick her chest out with pride. At other times, she can’t find enough handkerchiefs to dry her tears.

Most of all, a Mother knows, what good is it if her children are successful in life, but are not saved from an eternity in hell?

What does it matter if they gain the whole world, but lose their souls? Being a Mother is not easy. It is difficult!

So I hope that in the heart of every Mother today, there is a burden to go to the throne of God…

To pray for your children ...

To pray that they will be saved...

Saved from eternal damnation and...
Saved into eternal life.

Happy Mother's Day!

"GOD'S GREAT LOVE"

When it comes to love, I can think of no better way to describe it than with a good old fashion story. Once upon a time, in a foreign land, ruled a wise and good king. He loved his people so much, he wanted to see how they lived and he had concern over their hardships.
Often he’d dress up in the cloths of a workingman or a beggar, and went to the homes of the poor and no one he visited ever knew he was their king.

One time he visited a very poor man who lived in a cellar. He ate the course food the poor and ate; spoke kind and cheerful words to him before leaving. Later he visited the poor man again and disclosed his identity by saying, “I am your king!” The king thought the man would surely ask for some gift or favor, but he didn’t.

Instead he said, “You left your palace and your glory to visit me in this dark, dreary place. You ate the same food I ate and you brought gladness to my heart. To others you have given your rich gifts, but to me, you gave yourself.” And that my friend is a perfect example, of just loving our God is.

Not only is He loving; He’s also willing to do whatever He has to, to have fellowship with us. Even if it means sending His only begotten Son, to die for our sins on the cross. There's no better way to describe God's great love for you and I, even to point of becoming human.
